The only weapon you use is an insightfull staff of enchanting I believe if this for the 600 SB solo.

personally use a totem axe (+5 ene and 20%ench longer) and protection focus of devotion (+45 hp while ench, atm with master of my domain insc). tbh, the inscription is good for nothing, still thinking about 20% reduce on crippled, as it annoys me alot

As for weapon set the most important is the "enchantments last 20% longer" and "halves recharging of spells 20%". The rest is up to you, whether it will be wand or axe or sword.

i personally use kephets refuge, good little staff that, and with a chance to half recharge gives a little room for mistakes. the armor i use is just the cheapest 60al i could get, and with a +41 rune, and then a -75 for protection i think. my hero = smite and that has 2 x -75 runes, one being protection and the other smite i bellieve (was a while since i last actually 600/smiting.)

For 600, the lower the armor rating the better. If you are starting over, the starter armor is as good as it gets. But before you delete your rit, you should check out the 600 rit build. It is very effective, and if you like it you can save yourself the trouble of starting over.
As for farming locations... if you have EOtN, many dungeons are runnable as a 600. UW in HM (Smites) is a good farm for 600.

Monks aren't the only professions that can run as a 600 Tank. My Necro does it (Soul Reaping energy gain is to die for), and most caster-types (4 pips of energy regen) can as well. I've even seen a Warrior run as the 600 Tank - both interesting, and scary, as the Warr was wearing ONE piece of armor, an Event Helm.

I've got a build for both my Rit and my Monk. I like running it on my Rit just because I like my Rit more than any other character. The 600 Rit and the 600 Monk are just about equal really, but depending on the area you're in one can be more usefull than the other. I love doing CoF runs with my 600 Rit and a good smite bonder.
I wouldn't ever delete my Rit, especially to make a Monk since I feel that in PvE a Rit can be more versatile and play many more roles in the group. At the same time I also feel that having a Monk is a very usefull thing too.

another question about 600:
is there a real difference between the monk smiter and the Mes/mo smiter ?
I saw that some dungeons get the monk and some get the mesmer.

well if thats the case what do i need to do to change my rit to a 600 build. Is it true to have the lowest rating armor. Would anyone be able to either send or whisper me online with what i need to do to change and with what skill bar?

just go to pvxwiki and look up the 600 rit builds in the farming section and you'll get a great starting point. I also recommend trying out the 105 rit also.

For 600 i use 40/20/20 Prot staff or Sword (axe/spear) with +5nrg and 20% and 20/20 Prot focus.

The only thing I find on the 600 rit is Spell Breaker tends to run out just before I kill the last guy or so. Not sure if Im doing something wrong to not.

a 600 Monk has the option of Divine favour which helps with extra heals and keeping Spell breaker up much much longer. AUra of Faith is absolutely godly! with Glyph of swiftness and Aura of Faith (using a sup prot) i can keep spell breaker up for nearly 40secs (from what i rmember when i was doing tests) ie. generally about 5 secs down time there... may need to reconfirm again.
the advantage i feel that a 600 monk has over all other 600 professions is that your secondary is not fixed. you can change your secondary to suit the area to anything from Mantra of Resolve, Glyph of Swiftness, Frenzy (for extra loving goodness), etc etc.
having done farming with all different types of professions i will say that 600 Bond-SMite team would have to be the fastest farm in HM i have ever seen. drops are less if running a hero, but it can easily be done in a relaxing form with a friend and a few beers.
ps. try frenzy in areas where u don;t need mantra of resolve.... it pwnz

I use [VwK] on my 600 Rit, dunno anything about running [Spell Breaker] as the elite for a 600 Rit since the main reason to run a Rit for farming is to use [VwK]... *shrug*

If you are not a Monk primary, except for a very few cases, your Smiter should be casting [[Spell Breaker] on you. Otherwise, you get a 5sec SB (6 sec w/ an Enchanting modded weapon), which is absolutely useless. Since you'll need to be enchanted before grabbing aggro, your Smiter will (possibly) need a second to use [[Blessed Signet] to regain some energy since [[Holy Wrath] sucks it all up.

Yeah my Smiter hero casts Spell breaker on my (16 divine favor and a +20% enchantment mod) Maybe I just need more practice with my Rit. I almost have my monk to CoF so maybe I'll have better luck with her there. While i hear Rits are faster, Monks are supposed to be 'better" at it for whatever that is worth.
